Looking forward to a life of many, many happy landings!
With graduation next week, and my check-ride scheduled two weeks later, there is a lot to prepare and be excited about! I thought I'd send one final newsletter for the school year and share what's happening.
Praise God that we finally found an examiner to schedule our check rides. In two weeks, the examiner will be flying out from Oregon to help 4-5 students get their check-ride exam completed. Please pray for me as I prepare for this important milestone. I had the opportunity to take a mock check-ride with my instructor last week and it was quite successful. After practicing my maneuvers a bit more and studying for the oral section, I should be competent to pass the exams.
What do you think of when you think of using your talents for Jesus? Have you ever heard the story of the paralytic and his friends who brought him to Jesus? If not, take a minute to read the story in Mark 2:1-12. So often when we think about using our talents for God, we think we need incredible skill. However, a talent is simply any resource you can use to reach others for Christ. How much of a talent is it to walk, carry something, and break someone's roof? However, if the paralytic's friends had bemoaned their lack of talent/skills and failed to utilize their resources, their friend would never have met Jesus. Do you want to bring your friends to Christ? Are you willing to utilize whatever resource/talent/skill God has bestowed upon you? How will you use your talents to reach others for Christ?
I'd like to thank you so much for investing in me as a missionary this year. I'll be headed to Alaska at the end of the summer, and I'm so excited to utilize my aviation skills to reach others for Christ. God has used us to do so much this year. I'm truly grateful for your partnership. The skills and missionary training you've helped me gain will make a difference for eternity. This will be my last newsletter of the school year, but please feel free to contact me during the summer if you'd like to. I'll be sending out consistent newsletters again next year from Alaska! Thank you for continuing your faithful financial support this summer as it will help me be ready to launch in August. Thanks again for your support, prayers, and partnership this year.
Blessings!
Micah
Note: My organization is transferring donations to a new platform called Give Butter (funny name). The old link will still work, but in the future, it will be easier if you use the new platform at this link: https://givebutter.com/MissionAviation. Please let me know if you have any issues transitioning. Thanks!
Prayer Requests:
For my upcoming check-ride!
For another flight instructor/mechanic.
For Dillingham, Alaska, and the surrounding villages as we prepare to share Christ's love there next school year!
